Research Work on the History of the Periodic Table
D.I. Mendeleev (1834-1907) was a 19th century Russian chemist who created the primitive peiodic table of elements that evolved into the periodic table that we use today. His discovery of the periodic law was a hreat milestone in chemistry and is still a very important topic today. This paper explains the conceptual and social origins of Mendeleev's discoveries of the periodic law and its reception by the chemical community.
